| Wednesday, 1-Jul-2009 6pm CST | Greetings to familiar faces and new friends alike! We are eagerly anticipating the beginning of the 2009 mission trip to Jamaica. The first arrivals will begin shortly after noon on Friday with the majority of the group arriving on the evening of Saturday, July 4.
This year, VBS lessons will be based on the story of the first family--Adam, Eve, Cain, and Abel. As in the past, we will have four days of lessons each week, first in Savanna-la-Mar and then in Montego Bay, with preaching in the evenings. Our outreach is both to encourage our Jamaican brethren and bring the gospel message to those who are not Christians.
We invite you to follow our activities through this site, and to leave a note if you choose to do so (by clicking "Contact Us" to the right of this entry). We read the notes as often as possible, at our nighttime devotionals, and they are encouraging beyond explanation.
Most of all, we desire and entreat your prayers for a safe and profitable work. Below is a link to a picture from 2007, with Meghann (Jones) Blankenship, Lindsey Hurst, and Mariah Sheehan in the background. Meghann and Mariah will be joining us again this year (yay!), and in the foreground are some of their students in Montego Bay. These are the faces that are awaiting us. These are the hearts we will be touching.
